Are Children Safe Around Your Pool Or Spa?

How can you protect and provide safety and piece of mind when you have small children and a pool or spa? There are a lot of different alarm's on the market today that will alert you when something enters the water. Most of these are a bell or some kind of audible alarm that sounds when the water is disturbed. There are also video systems where you can view your pool or spa and have the monitor in your kitchen.

There are also child safety fence system's that you can have installed around your pool to prevent children from entering the pool or spa area. These fence's are made of a vinyl type material that can not be climbed. You will have to drill small holes in your decking about 3-4 ft apart and each section of fence attaches to the previous one with a dog type latch. These systems also have a gate section for easy access. This fencing can easily be removed if you are having a pool party or entertaining guests.

Portable spas all come with a locking vinyl cover so you can latch and lock the cover. Small children can not open these. You still might want a video system to monitor the area. Any system you choose will be a good investment in your piece of mind and good neighbor relations. Remember your neighbor's are just as nervous as you are with their children around your pool or spa.

Until Next Time......
