Is Your Spa Heating Very Slowly?

If you think your spa seams to be heating slower than usual or not at all there are a couple of things to look for...
First you need to know if your spa is heating at all. You can use a  thermometer to test if the thermostat is accurate. If you have a digital readout you want to see if there are any error codes on the readout(see owners manual for error code meanings). Sometimes you can accidentally put the spa in economy mode. In this setting the spa will only heat during a filter cycle which is only 2 times a day 12 hours apart so this can take a long time to reheat the spa.

Second you need to check and see if your filters need cleaning. You should be hosing off the filters at least once a month to ensure proper performance. A dirty filter can restrict the flow of water through the heater and the heater will turn off until proper flow is restored.

Lastly you may need to have the spa serviced by a Certified Service Professional. If you check all of the above and still are not satisfied with the results you may need a repair. If you have any questions about your specific situation you can check out my Facebook page and leave me a post and I will respond as soon as I can.

Until next time...
