Don't You Just Love A Bubble Bath...In Your Spa??

There are a lot of things that can cause foaming in your spa. Thankfully they are all preventable. The next time you test your spa chemicals make sure everything is balanced before you use any fragrances. These tend to cause cloudiness and foaming if the chemicals are off. The manufactures will tell you to shower before entering the spa, but lets face it your probably going to shower after you use the spa..:) So just make sure that you rinse out any hair gels or lotions that may be in your hair or in your skin before you go in. Make sure that all the detergent has been rinsed out of your suit (if you use one). And one of the biggest reasons for foaming is putting too much chemical in too fast when trying to adjust your levels.
You must add chemical sparingly when adjusting the levels, only do 1-2 tablespoons of any one product at a time and allow the water to circulate with the jets on for 20-30 minutes and then retest the spa, if you still need more, then add it, and wait another 20-30 min. If you have to adjust Alkalinity and the PH always adjust the Alkalinity first, the PH may fall right in line by just fixing the Alkalinity, and so on...The water can only absorb a little chemical at a time and the remainder will turn into a foamy bubble bath.
This may also cause the wonderful scum line around the top of the waterline. That's a whole other story.
Until next time.......
