Don't Let Your Spa Get Lost In The Snow!

Those of us on the east coast are having a lot of fun digging out from the snow storm right now. I wanted to put out this blog regarding snow load on your spa cover. Now is a good time to go out and brush all that snow off your spa cover.

Snow loads of this size can do a lot of damage to your spa cover. Once the snow starts to freeze the weight load will increase and the cover will start to bow in the center. This can crack the inner core of the cover and it will start to take on water and get much heavier.

Also a note for those of you that may have experienced a power outage during this storm, don't forget to go out and check your spa for power. The circuit breakers can trip when the power comes back on and you may not notice for a week or so and by that time the spa could be frozen. Even if the water in the spa is ok the plumbing could be frozen and the pumps will not push water.

Remember both of these problems can become a costly mistake, so take a few minutes and go out and check your spa. Enjoy the snow and I will talk to you later.

Until next time....
