Does Your Pool Need A Tile Makeover?

In my last blog I mentioned re-tiling your pool so I just wanted to touch base on this subject. There are a lot of tile choices out there, so take your time and find one that you love. The time to do a tile replacement is at re-plaster, but you can do just a tile replacement if you want. Talk to your service professional for details and suggestions. National Pool Tile has a nice selection.

You also can choose which size tile you want for your pool they have matted tiles which are usually 1in. tiles that are held together on a matting so after they get put on the pool and grouted they have a design to them. There are 2 x 2, 3 x 3, 6 x 6 and so on. Just like bathroom tile you can pretty much do your own patterns and mix them up. You must use pool tiles otherwise known as "frost free" or they will crack and fall off the pool after the first cold spell.

There are also mosaic tiles if you would like to do a design on the pool floor or walls. You can have a dolphin or starfish or design your own and see if the tile installers can accommodate you. I have seen some beautiful tile work out there and if you take your time and find the one that's right, you will love your tile makeover.

Until Next Time...
