New Pool or Spa Product to Test the Waters!

People have been telling me that they have a lot of problems keeping their pool/spa water balanced. This can be a troubling. If you follow some basic tips you can keep your water in check.

Always test your water at least once a week. If a problem develops you will catch it early. You can use litmus paper test strips, or a liquid testing kit. Always adjust your Alkalinity first as this keeps the PH in line. Adjust the PH  making sure the water temp is over 80 degrees before you add chlorine or bromine as they work better in warmer water. Also check your calcium level. This is important to the effectiveness of the other chemicals.

All this being said, if you still have problems with the levels bouncing you can look into a relatively new product to the market called Aqua Finesse. This product is widely used in Europe and is now growing quickly in the US. The following is testimony from the manufacturer about their product. http://www.aquafinesse.com/

Aquafinesse Hot Tub Water Treatment System"Aqua Finesse is a unique and patent pending water treatment focused on Bio film control & management, as it changes and destroys the habitat of the bacteria". It ensures reduction of bacteria by the removal of bio film up to 95%. It also breaks down the scaling that can happen from high PH levels. This product also leaves the skin hydrated and feeling soft. It can be used with Chlorine or Bromine systems and claims that you will use up to 80% less Chlorine/Bromine. Basically you add this product once a week and keep your filters clean and your chemicals will stay balanced and the water soft for up to 3-6 months. They have both pool and spa versions available.

I believe this product does work and can benefit anyone that is having issues controlling their water chemistry. It can be on the costly side, but I always believed that if something out there can make my life easier, I'll try it. Hope this helps you.

Let me know your thoughts on this product and if you would recommend it.

Until Next Time...
