While there are a lot of customers out there that go through that tedious task of vacuuming their pool every week, many of consumers are opting for the automatic pool cleaner. With new automatic cleaner products popping up every year, it is easy to get confused as too which is best and easiest to use.
There are basically 4 types of auto cleaners out there, in-floor which are systems that are incorporated into the structure of the pool and must be installed at construction.
Suction side cleaners
rely on the skimmer suction to drive the unit around the pool.
Pressure side
use the water pressure from the returns to drive the unit. And my favorite,
Robotic cleaners
, which use a power supply that you plug into any outlet and the supply unit breaks the voltage down to usually 12volts. These cleaners can be run independently of the pool, which is why I like them so much. With the other cleaners you will loose some aspect of your pools filtration ability while the cleaner is in operation.
Robotic cleaners
have been around for 30 years, these units work best in the free-form type pools as they will climb walls, steps, and the hard to reach swim out's. These can be one of the more expensive units out there but I feel the low voltage operation saves you money rather than your pool pump having to run to do the same job. These units also act as a filter while they are cleaning and catching debris.
Which ever cleaner you prefer they all make easy work of keeping the pool clean.Until Next Time...
