Let's Get a Backyard Makeover!

Now's the time to start thinking about that property makeover and start your stay-cation at home. I love the spring time with all the blooming flowers and birds singing it just really makes me appreciate my backyard. You can do a small makeover with a deck or patio or go with the full landscape redo.

Start small and you can add as you go. Try to envision what you really want to incorporate into the picture, a pool or a spa? How about just a waterfall? Let your imagination run wild. Landscape architect's are great at helping you envision a beautiful backyard hard-scape. Most of them have the ability to give you a computer generated model of the project and cost estimate. There are some great materials out there that are cost effective when creating a back yard oasis. Look into simulated stone waterfalls and retaining walls, synthetic pavers instead of stone pavers. Synthetic can look as good as the real thing if it's done correctly.

You could install a fiberglass pool. These come in one piece and get installed in as little as 2 weeks. They just have to excavate the hole, add stone and sand for a stable base, drop the pool in, connect the plumbing lines, back fill and do your decking. You are swimming before you know it. Now picture a stone waterfall or Koi pond next to the pool and maybe a spa and gazebo off to the left or right, and for the grill masters out there how about a grill island?

Now that I have you thinking, start your process now and contact a landscape arcitech or a pool and spa consultant to get your ideas on paper and lets vacation at home.

Until Next Time...
